McKinney Falls State Parks provides the most beautiful background for bridal portraits.
And okay, I'll admit that I did have to do some extra editing to get all the people who were swimming and enjoying the cool water out of the background of the photo. But it was worth it to get these shots for my bride, Becca!
Can you tell that she's as whimsical and fun loving as they come? Becca liked McKinney Falls for her bridals because it offers so much variety. There are places that make you feel like you're deep in the woods or adventuring on cliffs! Becca chose to have her bridal portraits done after the wedding, so she wasn't worried about taking her bridals outdoors.
Her wedding is featured in my galleries, and you're welcome to see what her day looked like!
Something that I aim to do as a photographer is capture people's natural smile - not the forced, cheesy one that comes out at the obligatory posed Christmas card, but the real deal! This was too easy to do with Becca. You can really see in the photos that she was actually laughing.
We found this patch of bluebonnets deep in McKinney Falls, and from them came some of my favorite photos from the whole shoot! When taking bridal portraits in Austin, I'm also looking to get as much variety in your final gallery as possible. :)
As we wrapped up the shoot and headed towards our cars, the last bit of sunset light caught just right, and I paused Becca for a couple more photos. She took off her heels and what came were the sweetest, most whimsical bridal shots.
