Welcome to Grace & Connor's Wedding Day at Casa Blanca on Brushy Creek!
I first connected with Grace & Connor on Instagram years ago when they were just dating. Grace wanted to schedule a fun "we're dating and in love!" shoot, and it turned out perfectly. Years later, I got another DM when they were ENGAGED! They told me that it just seemed "right" to have me shoot their wedding since I'd photographed their love early on, which of course I completely agree with!
They chose Casa Blanca on Brushy Creek, the perfect blend of an outdoor/indoor venue. I'd shot there before, and already knew I loved it! It's also just a really convenient location for people who live in North Austin. In fact, for me the drive is only 15 minutes!
So we scheduled our phone calls to stay connected on the planning, captured their engagement photos, and before we knew it, it was wedding time!!
I really do love Casa Blanca. It's perfect for more intimate weddings. The huge backdrop of windows in the reception area truly elevates the space and as an Austin Wedding Photographer, is probably my favorite part of the whole venue. Windows are great for natural light led pictures!! They also are right off a creek, so behind you during the ceremony, if it's outdoors, are trees and water. It's beautiful.
The bride and groom each have separate suites to get ready in, and this groom's suite isn't some tiny closet!! There's actually plenty of space to enjoy the day and your guys, windows, etc.
If you're looking for an intimate, special spot to have your wedding in North Austin, I do recommend Casa Blanca!
I even added some Film Photography to their final gallery...
For those of you that aren't familiar, film photography has a really distinct, nostalgic look and it requires developing. When you take a film photo, you don't get to see what it looks like until it goes through developing. Each frame is a real, finite thing, so you're working with a limited number of shots per roll rather than unlimited digital captures.
I personally have an affinity for film photography because I love that it has its own color rendition, grain, and different kind of range than you get digitally. You can't edit or alter a film photo nearly as easily as you can digitally. Basically, what you take is what you get!
